During behavior consultations we will evaluate the behavior concerns you have with your pet. After you have provided a detailed history of your pet, we will discuss why your pet is potentially engaging in these behaviors and tailor a treatment plan to address your concerns. Common behavioral issues we assess are anxiety, phobias, aggression, compulsive behaviors and more.

According to the American Veterinary Dental Society more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3. Dental disease can be very uncomfortable for pets and the longer it is left untreated, the more complicated and costly it becomes to treat. Furthermore, certain dental diseases can lead to issues with your pet’s heart, liver and kidneys, and can also flood their body and bloodstream with harmful bacteria.
Common signs of dental disease include:
At Companion Animal Clinic, we conduct a thorough oral exam during each wellness visit and are equipped to treat dental disease if a cause for concern is identified. We highly recommend that you have a veterinarian evaluate your pet’s dental health at least once a year even if your pet is not demonstrating symptoms. Schedule an oral exam to prevent irreversible periodontal disease, tooth loss, and possibly expensive oral surgery.

Laser therapy is the painless application of infrared light to promote increased circulation and create an optimal healing environment. Laser therapy reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness and pain. Laser Therapy can help with numerous issues including:
Microchipping is the most effective means of identification for your pet. Similar to vaccinations, microchipping is safe, quick and causes little pain. We still always recommend an ID tag be attached to your pet’s collar, but the microchip will help you rest easy knowing that if an accident does occur, your pet can be identified. Most veterinary hospitals and shelters are equipped with a handheld microchip scanner that can be used to check for a chip. If the pet has one, it will transmit its ID number to the scanner via a low-frequency radio wave. From there, they can retrieve the pet owner’s contact information from the manufacturer and call the owner.
Our convenient on-site pharmacy is fully stocked for all that your pet requires.

Vaccinations are an essential part of your pet’s health care plan starting from the time they are very young. Pets should be vaccinated between 6 and 12 weeks of age and require boosters throughout their life.
